Elaine Palmer is a Senior Technical Staff Member at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY, and a member of the IBM Academy of Technology. Her current interests are in extending principles of secure boot, measured boot, and attestation to subsystems of high availability cloud and enterprise servers. Ms. Palmer is an active participant in the Open Compute Project (OCP) Security Project, a member of the IEEE, and a Distinguished Engineer in the ACM. In recent presentations at ACSAC 2020, OCP Global Summit 2020, and OCP Global Summit 2021, she covered topics such as "Anchoring Trust in a Totally Open Platform", "System Component Attestation", and "The OCP Security Checklist".
